Rave from Anne!

When doing Fab Fem photo shoots, privacy is one of our utmost concerns! Many of our clients allow us the privilege of posting a pre approved image along with their rave. Many times our clients prefer to keep their images completely to themselves (and we can absolutely respect this decision), but still go out of their way to write us a message about their experience with us.
All of our "Raves" are special to us and deserve to be shared. Having said that, here is the wonderful rave we received from Anne...

Hugs...Crystal xo

"I was so glad to have found Nancy and Crystal. I wanted to surprise my fiancee for his birthday. I was very hesitant and had never had a photo shoot before, never mind wearing boudoir in front of perfect strangers. Nancy and Crystal were amazing. They made me feel very comfortable and eased my anxiousness.

When I saw my photos....wow! They turned out incredibly beautiful. As a women over 45, mother of 3, would never have believed I could look so feminine and sexy! Thanks so much Nancy and Crystal for such an incredible experience! I recommend every woman to try it, you will be amazed!!"

A Jerry Maguire Moment a la Fab Fem!

Recently we have been confronted about the FabFem. A misunderstanding in which the FabFem was believed to be something more explicit in nature. We feel compelled to solidify our vision and intent with the Fabulous Feminine experience.

We would like to express our thanks to this individual for helping us reaffirm our vision of the Fabulous Feminine and the experience that we hope comes through in our work.

Artistic expression has always been an abstract area when dealing with a business product and providing clients with a service. We respect that people hire us to preform a service for them based on past works and products that we offer.

We write this in hopes of achieving enlightenment in where our vision for the FabFem is as far as we are concerned. The FabFem is intended to be an experience where clients have an opportunity to explore the way THEY want to be seen and feel. We do not take it upon ourselves to dictate the manner in which each individual want this to be done.

We offer people access to our abilities and space in order for them to express themselves through the photographic medium. By using our abilities, creativity and professionalism we offer each individual an opportunity to cut loose and have fun in their sessions.

Our hopes for the FabFem is a chance for our clients to express different sides of their personality in a fun and carefree environment. We respect each individuals views on art and creativeness however, we DO NOT shoot anything the we feel is inappropriate or uncomfortable for all parties involved. We feel as though it would be a great misuse of the trust that a client has placed with us.

Boundaries are clearly set at the beginning of each session for mutual comfort and respect. Throughout the session we work collaboratively with our clients in order to bring out and achieve the goals set out at the beginning of the session. We encourage at any point throughout the session that clients feel free to express whatever they would like to shoot and portray, while keeping in mind the respect and freedom of both the client and us as artists are to be honoured.

Session are unique in nature and are never exactly repeated twice. Each individual needs to bring their feeling and desires to the set. We are only an avenue by which clients express themselves. We do not feel it is our place to tell anyone what they should be in order to feel confident and secure in themselves. It would be a great betrayal of each persons personal needs.

Should clients feel as though their session was not what they were expecting, we are more than open to discuss where they feel as though the session went the wrong. Our end goal is to offer a great experience with a wonderful product that will commemorate your "CREATIVE TIME" with us.

We stand behind our work the work that we provide as true and honourable representations of our time together and in the spirit of the FabFem Experience. Nothing honours us more than capturing that image, in a moment of openness, to express an inspirational message to anybody who sees it.

True art inspires and motivates, make us feel and understand points of view. Connects us all to one another but more importantly allows us to take a moment to step into ourselves as a journey of self discovery and self expression.

Through our experience and photos we as artists have a pursuit to represent the true nature of each individual that crosses our paths. We are honoured to have dealt with so many supportive and motivational people. It was once said that in the world of artistic expression that one third of the world will LOVE what you are doing, one third will FEEL APATHETIC to your doings, and one third will DISLIKE.

Our hope is that our work will speak to OUR third! We know you are out there and look forward to creating timeless works of art with you.

Thank you everyone for your love and even to those of you who challenge what we stand for. You ALL bless us with the opportunity to grow and artists and individuals.

Many Blessings... Take Care and Stay Fabulous!!!!

Waterloo Fire Fighters "Heat in the Streets" Fashion Show

nbedit0009wtmk.jpg
Well the show was a rip roaring success yet again! our Waterloo Professional fire fighters have been there for CNIB in raising over $30,000 in this event!!
We are so proud to be involved with such an amazing organization. This man in the FabFem Sandwich is Mr. Mike Noonan a very humble man with a heart of GOLD!
nbedit0010wtmk.jpg
He has dedicated his time and efforts to making this event run smoothly. Planning every detail and coordinating with the WFFPA ( Waterloo Fire Fighter Professional Association)
to sell tickets and tirelessly canvas to help raise money for CNIB and many other charities. Crystal and myself were lucky enough to have met Mike at the Total Woman’s show in 2009 and after meeting him
and all the amazing Fire Fighters in the WFFPA there was no doubt we would help in what ever way we could!

We gave away a FabFem Diamond Series Mega Super Model Experience. A total of a $1495 value package for the GRAND raffle prize!
Congratulations to the lucky woman at the show that won this package. We cannot wait to get to work with you.

Working backstage was a blast!!! It's always hectic getting 30+ people ready for the catwalk but let me tell you... between the dressing assistants, stage managers and the firefighters themselves doing quick changes etc. we didn't miss one cue! You all cannot imagine the pleasure I took in getting these guys made up in drag makeup!!! LOL Such great sports! It was also my absolute pleasure to work with the beautiful female firefighters. These ladies are so inspiring and really do encompass all that we hold true with the Fabulous Feminine!!!

Adele… girl I really don’t know how you do it… whoot hoot!
nbedit0004wtmk.jpg

Here’s one of our most favourite morning show hosts from 91.5 The Beat Adele Newton - working the crowd in to frenzy for the WFFPA men and women fashion show volunteers.

Carlos, I do believe was being carried in by our strong and sassy women firefighters!
nbedit0003wtmk.jpg
oh yes here is is. Don’t get to used to that Carlos!!!

Now Adele did seem to have a hard time consentrating on her HOSTING duties…
but who could blame her! With so many wonderful and amazingly HOTT Fire-fighters around who could blame her for sometimes getting a little lost in the view.

It really was a rip roaring good time… and yes that IS a SPICE Girl (it might even be the Chief…shhhhhhhh!)
All in all it was a fantastic night for a great cause and we are proud of our Fire Fighters, with much love and anticipation… what are you doing next year crew?????

nbedit0027.jpgnbedit0005wtmk.jpg
Not ones to sit back and rest - they are Fire Fighters after all!! - our Waterloo Crew was out Thursday morning battling a monster blaze near the University of Waterloo.
We regret to report that we have lost our Mel’s Diner and other store in that plaza.
Our prayers are with everyone who fought the blaze and for the merchants who have lost their stores in the terrible accident.
Hugs... Crystal & Nancy xo

a little Inspiration...

Wanted to supply some inspiration on such a gorgeous day! This quote is often attributed to Nelson Mandela as it was part of his Presidential Inauguration speech. Beautiful words that we should all try to remember in times of doubt!

Wishing you all a happy and blessed Easter weekend with family and friends!

Hugs... Crystal xo

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.” - Marianne Williamson
